WORK EXPERIENCE

My career in the environmental field began in 2009 when I worked with the non-profit 350.org. Before that, I worked in advertising and marketing, at times working with campaigns for social change. Over the past years, I have been involved in a wide range of research and sustainability projects, and for two years, I also taught at the university level. I have been working as a Sustainability Officer for the past five years.

In 2020, I graduated from my Master of Environmental Science, majoring in Climate Change Adaptation. My thesis explored the complex relationship between ecotourism, poaching and conservation using a systems thinking approach (you can see an interactive presentation of my findings here). Recently, I've taken an interest in sustainable tourism and have launched Intego Travel, which aims to educate travellers and tourism businesses on how to travel and conduct their business operations more sustainably. In Feb 2021, I started my PhD, where my research focuses on how to use systems thinking to integrate sustainable development into tourism.
